How the IABMAS Chile National Group handles your personal data, under Chilean Law No. 21,719.

1. Data controller
The controller is the IABMAS Chile National Group, [POR COMPLETAR] (legal name, tax ID and address), with the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso as an associated body.

2. Data we collect
When you contact or register with us we process identification and contact data: name, email, institutional affiliation, country and, where applicable, ORCID.
For paper submission, the submission platform also collects the content of abstracts and papers, and the files you upload.
3. Purpose
To manage your participation in IABMAS 2027: communication, the paper submission and review process, registration and publication in the proceedings.
4. Lawful basis
Processing is based on your express consent and, for registration, on the performance of the congress participation contract.
5. Recipients and international transfer
Submission and review take place on a dedicated platform. If that platform is located outside Chile, this constitutes an international data transfer, carried out with the safeguards required by Law 21,719 and with your specific consent.
6. Retention period
We keep your data for the duration of your relationship with the congress and for the periods required by law. Rejected or withdrawn submissions are deleted within 12 months after the congress; papers published in the proceedings are kept for their scientific value.
7. Your rights
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation, objection and portability by writing to [POR COMPLETAR] (email). We will respond within the legal time limit.
8. Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. In the event of a breach that poses a risk to your rights, we will act in accordance with the notification procedure required by law.
